The rapper had promised that if anyone could figure out the title of his seventh album they would get tickets to ‘Season 3’ and a free pair of Yeezys.
However, the 38-year-old has changed his album title more times than we change our socks in an average week, meaning that it would be near impossible to pinpoint the exact name.
While everyone hurled out their wildest predictions in hope of striking lucky and getting their hands on the beloved sneakers, it was 20-year-old Dante Holley who guessed the acronym: The Life Of Pablo.
Sticking by his word, Kanye sent the prize and Holley is now the proud owner of a pair of Yeezy trainers – the footwear designed by the man himself.
Even though the fan, a rapper and producer from New Jersey, is undeniably chuffed with his pre$ent, he hopes to highlight an important cause with them.
Speaking to Newsbeat, he explained: “Kids would die over these shoes. Someone right now would jump me to take these shoes from me.
“I want to show kids that they’re just a materialistic thing.”
To make his point, he has pledged to run a 5km race in them, in the hope of raising more awareness of gun violence.
“Can you imagine someone running a marathon in these luxurious nice shoes?” he laughed.
In spite of all of this, Holley hasn’t actually opened the box in which the trainers arrived yet, instead he has saved the grand unveiling for a live stream on Periscope on April 2nd.
“I had been waiting for the shoes for like a month and a half and everyone was doubting if it was going to come through,” he explains.
“I want the whole world to open them with me.”
Let’s just hope they’re in there!
