Bernardo Silva has called on Champions League chiefs to introduce VAR from next season following Manchester City’s defeat to Liverpool.
A big decision went against the Citizens at a pivotal moment in the tie, as Leroy Sane wrongly had a goal ruled out with the score at 3-1.
Sane was adjudged to have been offside, despite the final touch before he struck home coming off Liverpool player James Milner.
The Reds went on to win 5-1 through a couple of second-half goals from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, leaving Bernardo to question the integrity of the competition.
“Thank you all for the support and amazing atmosphere tonight! We gave everything we could so no regrets,” he posted on his personal Instagram page.
