The celebs have been out in force for one of the most glamorous red carpet events of the year – but these are the ones who’ve stood out in the style stakes
The Cannes Film Festival is the ultimate frock off – let’s face it, out of all the celeb-filled events, you want to be crowned best dressed at the French Riviera’s most glamorous red carpet event
This year as the super stylish stars are out in force, including Cheryl, Kendall Jenner and Victoria Beckham to name but a few, they certainly know how to rock a gown and we’ve not been left dull-eyed or disappointed.
The stars may still be arriving, but we take a look at our favourite outfits so far…
Kendall Jenner at the ‘From the Land and the Moon’ premiere
We think it’s Kendall that could break the Internet and a few flash-bulbs, as she stepped out in a see-through eye-popping Cavalli Couture gown.
She looked absolutely glowing with her slicked-back hair and shimmering skin, but all eyes and cameras were certainly fixated by the mesh, snake intertwining gown, teamed only with some high-waisted knickers.
But let’s not miss out the shoulder grazing chandelier earrings with a ‘subtle’ 43 carats of diamonds. We salute you Kendall for pulling off this look effortlessly.
Cheryl at the Slack Bay (Ma Loute) premiere
Cheryl makes a bold move and certainly stands out in the style rankings with this vivid little number by Naeem Khan.
With her pulled back hair do and strapless detailing it leaves the colour-clashing print as the main attraction, highlighting her tiny waist and petite frame.
The shocking pink lipstick is the perfect finishing touch to this printastic outfit.
Lily-Rose Depp at the ‘I, Daniel Blake’ premiere
The 16-year-old daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, is the current muse of Karl Lagerfeld, so it was no surprise to see her working this Chanel show-stopper on the red carpet.
This off-the-shoulder, tummy peeping, beaded dress had a ‘Jasmine’ from Aladdin vibe to it, making Miss Depp a Disney Princess of style for the night.
Julianne Moore at the premiere of Café Society
Julianne is another one to wrap herself in a snake embroided dress, but she’s opted for a more covered up version than Kendall’s.
This heavily sequinned gown is by Givenchy Haute Couture, with subtle see-though detailing showing off her enviable pins. She’s accessorised with emerald earrings and her signature glossy locks. Surely making her younger peers green with envy, this is how to rock the red carpet!
Blake Lively at the BFG premiere
Blake never gets it wrong in the fashion stakes and adds some much needed colouramidst the sea of black, on the red carpet.
Showing off the hint of a rumoured baby bump , in Atelier Versace, she has chosen this stunning Swarovski crystalised, powder blue gown.
She paired the sexy thigh-high split with strappy Christian Louboutin heels. It’s a refreshing choice for showcasing that well-hidden baby bump in all it’s glory.
