Cordoba have sacked Coach Jorge Romero after just ten weeks in charge of the club following a 5-1 defeat to Tenerife.
The 33-year-old has spent nine years at the Andalucian club in a range of coaching capacities, before replacing Juan Merino at the helm on 4 December.
However, after just ten matches in charge he has been dismissed with only two wins and seven defeats in that run of games.
“The club appreciates the talent, effort and professionalism offered by Jorge,” read a Cordoba club statement.
“This has been the worst run of form in the season but Cordoba Club de Futbol wishes Jorge lots of success and for him to have a long and fruitful career.”
Cordoba lie third from bottom in the standings and 11 points from safety with 16 matches remaining in the league campaign.
