A French fitness blogger has been killed after a whipped cream dispenser exploded hitting her in the chest.
Rebecca Burger’s family announced her death on social media, saying it was a ‘domestic incident’.
They said the 32-year-old had been in her home in eastern France when she was hit by the dispenser on her thorax, which triggered a heart attack.
Posting a picture of the type of dispenser Ms Burger had, they warned people not to use them claiming ‘thousands of defective devices are still in circulation’.
‘Here is an example of a siphon that exploded and crashed into Rebecca’s chest, causing her death,’ the post said.‘The siphon which caused her death was sealed. Don’t use this product in your homes!’
They did not name the brand of the dispenser.
Ms Burger was a well-known lifestyle blogger in France and had over 158,000 followers on Instagram.
Women’s Best, an online health store which Burger promoted online, paid tribute to the model in an Instagram post.
They wrote: ‘We are sorry to announce the sad news of losing this beautiful soul. Our french athlete Rebecca Burger passed away.
‘Rebecca was not only a great fitness figure but a generous and kind person to work with. Please pray for her soul to rest in peace and for her family to stay strong.
