In the last couple of years, Migos, Gucci Mane and Wacka Flocka have all sought the services of one, 58-year-old dad who’s become an indispensable figure in the world of Atlanta Rap.
His name is Drew Findling, and he’s become known as the #billiondollarlawyer.
Amongst his court victories, he secured Mane’s early release from prison, and helped get weapons charges against Migos star Offset dropped.
Although he’s not a rap fan, he’s become a key part of the scene – and the New York Times ran a profile of the humble, often-Instagrammed lawyer over the weekend.
“He always tries to prevent me from doing dumb stuff – not even criminal stuff, but just in life,” Offset told the newspaper. “I really feel I can trust him.”
It’s quite a remarkable story.
And check out Drew’s Instagram for incongruous shots of a man in tweed jackets hanging out with rappers.
Speaking of Gucci M – the hip-hop star’s life is set to be the subject of a big screen biopic, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Paramount and Imagine Entertainment will apparently join forces to bring the rapper’s autobiography – which details his struggles with addiction and time spent in prison – to the big screen.
