Kanye West was serious when he said he intends to run for President in 2020, who knew?
The rapper hasn’t said much concerning the subject since making the shock announcement at the 2015 MTV Music Video Awards, but opened up in a conversation with Annie Mac of Radio 1.
The rapper, when asked about his views on politics, said that he has no views on politics, but that his views are “on humanity, on people, on the truth.”
“If there is anything that I can do with my time and my day, to somehow make a difference while I’m alive I’m going to try to do it.” he added.
Kanye maintained his plans to run are serious, and he wants to bring positive change to the country, but also to the rampant killings in the African American community.
“We are numb, we’re numb to 500 kids getting killed in Chicago a year,” he adds.
“We’re numb to the fact that it was seven police shootings in the beginning of July.”
