Little Boy Gets Wish To Mow White House Lawn, Then The President Walks Outside

It’s pretty awesome how far a little ambition can take you. We can all learn something from an 11-year-old boy named Frank Giaccio. Frank made headlines when he applied to mow the White House lawn and got accepted for the job.

The task of mowing the lawn is usually performed by the National Park Service but was given to Frank after he wrote a letter to the President himself and asked him to take on the responsibility. President Trump, who is a businessman himself, was impressed by the ambition and vigor of the young man and agreed.

Frank’s letter to the president was straightforward and uncanny in its professionalism. “Dear Mr. President,” Frank wrote. “It would be my honor to mow the White House lawn for you…”

He continued, “Even though I’m only 10, I’d like to show the nation what young people like me are ready for…”

“Here’s a list of what I have, and you’re free to pick whatever you want: power mower, push mower, and weed whacker…”

“I can bring extra fuel for the power mower and charged batteries for the weed whacker. Sincerely, Frank.”

She tweeted an image of Frank mowing the White House lawn and captioned it: “Frank is hard at work in the Rose Garden and doing a great job!”

Frank usually charges $8 for his service, but as the White House’s lawn is quite large he would bump up the price. However, after encouragement from his father Frank decided to waive the fee.

As Frank was cutting the grass, the President made an appearance to say hello. After Frank finished, he and his father were invited into the Oval office to officially meet and speak to the president.

Even though Frank didn’t make any money from his work, the experience alone was worth it and the photo ops will ensure that Frank will have no shortage of work for some time to come.
