Following reports that the couple decided to invite and extra 1,200 members of the public to the ceremony, the actress’s estranged half-sister, Samantha Grant, blasted the soon-to-be royal for putting the people of London before her own flesh and blood.
Meghan Markle’s estranged family is still salty over being snubbed from her upcoming wedding to Prince Harry.
After sarcastically tweeting about how “excited” she was to receive her invitation to the May 19 wedding (that she never received), Grant insisted that Meghan’s family should be invited for the sake of humanitarianism. No, really.
“At issue is not a matter of closeness as more than 1000 complete strangers are invited. Family is family. I have an uncle I have only seen once but I would never say he is not family because we are not close. Humanitarians move forward with love and kindness especially to Family.”
And she doesn’t just mean “family” to Meghan!
Grant, who has claimed to have raised the Suits actress for 12 years when she was growing up on California, reminded her followers that Meghan is actually 15th cousins to her future husband.
She tweeted alongside a photo of the Markle family tree:
“And it’s not only Meg who is 15th cousin to Harry. My brother and I are also. I was the first born Markle to my father. Exclude the [Markles] from this wedding would be highly inappropriate.”
Good to know the monarchy still likes to keep it in the family!
One Markle rumored to definitely be in attendance is Meghan’s father Tom, whom she reportedly asked to walk her down the aisle.
