REAL MADRID will buy Neymar in the summer, with PSG replacing the Brazilian with Arsenal gem Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.
There are claims the player’s father and Real president Florentino Perez are in discussion via an intermediary, agent Wagner Ribeiro, about Neymar’s future.
Neymar reacted furiously when asked in midweek about a possible move to Real, swearing at reporters before walking off.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have surrendered their hope of Sanchez singing a new contract and are resigned to losing him at the end of the season.
Express Sport understands Arsenal are willing to listen to reasonable offers for the playmaker in the New Year.
According to the report, PSG are willing to pay Sanchez a handsome figure to lure him to Paris on a free transfer.
That bargain acquisition will then push Neymar out of the Parc des Princes and into Real Madrid’s open arms.
Sanchez, 28, would join a side whose remit is to win the Champions League and Ligue 1.
That drive for trophies was what Neymar cited as the reason he left Barcelona for £200million in the summer.
Alexis Sanchez could join PSG at the end of the season
The Sunday Mirror claim Neymar ‘seems certain’ to be the Bernabeu next season and that PSG are preparing for the inevitable.
Barca, already furious with how they were forced to sell Neymar after PSG triggered his release clause, would likely not be happy if he rocked up at their biggest rivals Real.
Sanchez himself has been linked with a return to Spain, with former club Barca and Real both mooted as interested.
But it appears as though the player, a £30m buy from Barca in 2014, has either PSG or Manchester City as his options for the summer.
