The Obamas’ Reply To A Wedding Invite Is Brilliant

Wedding invites are huge commodities between friends because it shows where you stand in your social circle and also because wedding receptions are just so fun. With the gourmet food, the fancy clothes, and the nostalgic music, it is easy to see why one would enjoy going to a wedding.

 

But this couple decided to invite Michelle and Barack Obama to their wedding.

Although the former President and First Lady were unable to make an appearance, their reply via a letter was not only sweet but friendly.

Brooke’s parents decided to send the Obamas an invitation to their daughter’s wedding last March. The Obamas didn’t show up at the wedding but they (or a member of their staff) did respond to the invite.

The Obamas replied by sending them a letter that was placed in an envelope that was stamped with ‘The Office Of Barack and Michelle Obama.’

The letter read: ‘congratulations on your wedding. We hope that your marriage is blessed with love, laughter, and happiness and that your bond grows stronger with each passing year.’

It continued by saying: ‘this occasion marks the beginning of a lifelong partnership, and as you embark on this journey, know you have our very best for the many joys and adventures that lie ahead.’

Brooke then took to Twitter to show the world the letter that she received in the mail.

And this isn’t the first time the Obamas have sent someone a personalized letter. Aubrey decided to go on Twitter to show off her personal letter from the Obamas after she sent them one of her high school graduation announcements.

Twitter user Destiny took to Twitter to showcase her letter from the Obamas after her grandma passed away. In her tweet, she said: ‘he actually met her more than once and visited our family restaurant just for Pueblo green chile.’

At the beginning of his term, Barack Obama stated that he wanted to read 10 letters a day. Later on in his presidency, these letters were referred to as ‘10LADS’ and they were subsequently delivered to the POTUS in a purple folder.
