Piers Morgan isn’t dropping his feud with Dan Walker any time soon.
Following an escalation of their very public Twitter spat just last week, the Good Morning Britain star provoked his BBC rival again on Monday morning’s show.
While working alongside Susanna Reid, Charlotte Hawkins and Alex Beresford, the presenter took a BBC Breakfast-branded mug and shattered it using a hammer live on ITV.
“I did to the mug what we’ve been doing to their ratings all year,” he told his co-stars after smashing the cup. The broken pieces were then gathered up and placed on his desk.
Pointing to the pile, Piers said: “This is the shattered remains of the BBC Breakfastmug – which is certainly a metaphor if you read the BBC’s own website on how the competition has been going between [our shows] this year.
“My festive thoughts go to our enemies over there. You’ve got to have enemies in life. Even if they are nice people like Dan [Walker] and Louise [Minchin].”
Susanna, who of course used to present BBC Breakfast before she joined Good Morning Britain, made it pretty clear she didn’t agree with her co-star’s behaviour.
