FC Porto president Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa wants out-of-contract goalkeeper Iker Casillas to stay at the club past the ebb and current season.
The 36-year-old’s arrangement with the ebb and flow Portuguese alliance pioneers terminates toward the finish of June yet it is accounted for he should take a compensation slice on the off chance that he is to stay past the momentum season.
“Of course, we want Casillas to stay with us,” Pinto da Costa is cited as saying by Diario AS.
“We are happy that Iker is at the club, he is a great goalkeeper and a great person, he has demonstrated that he is a major player for us.
“I cannot guarantee that he would stay, but I would like it if he did.”
The report in AS adds that there is interest from America, the UAE, China and Mexico in the former Real Madrid goalkeeper, but he has no intention of leaving Europe.
