Prince Philip has left hospital after treatment for an infection
Prince Philip has left hospital after receiving treatment for an infection that forced him to miss the Queen’s Speech yesterday.
The Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to a private hospital on Tuesday as a precaution after becoming ill with an infection arising from a pre-existing condition.
The royal, aged 96, was said to be in ‘good spirits’ yesterday and was out of his hospital bed earlier on Wednesday.
Prince Charles said his father was ‘getting better’ following a meeting with faith leaders in Finsbury Park mosque yesterday afternoon.
Buckingham Palace would not go into details about Philip’s condition or the type of infection, but his past history of a bladder infection could indicate his current problem.
