The New York Police Department has arrested a man for criminally trespassing at a penthouse belonging to singer Rihanna.
According to E! News, which broke the story, the trespasser has been identified as 33-year-old Salmir Feratovic who apparently had previously visited the residence and was not allowed to ever show up at the premises again.
Further investigations revealed that Feratovic was stalking the singer on social media. In March, he reportedly commented on a news story about the singer, saying, “Why she is not with me?”
E! News adds that Feratovic has multiple arrest records including a May 2016 report, when he was arrested for trespassing at same location.
This is not the first time Rihanna would fall victim to stalkers.
In 2014, Kevin McGlynn stalked and harassed Rihanna and the 53-year-old white male was arrested and charged with “menacing in 2nd degree, harassment in the 1st degree, stalking in the 4th degree and a hate crime”.
In 2015, the police launched a manhunt for Ralph Alexander/Alex Mercer who threatened to kill singer Rihanna and later posted a photo of himself allegedly standing outside Rihanna’s door.
The recent stalker is yet to be charged.
