Rita Ora To Perform For Pope Francis At The Vatican!

Rita Ora will sing for Pope Francis during an event honouring the life of Mother Teresa—The singer and actress is one of the performers selected to appear at a concert being held at St Peter’s Basilica in Rome, Italy on 3 September (16), the day before the late Albanian Roman Catholic nun and missionary will be officially declared a saint.

Rita, who was born in Kosovo to Albanian parents, will sing the hymn What Child Is This?

Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (30Aug16), Rita shared her excitement about travelling to Vatican City for the historic event.

“I looked at the guest list and I saw P.O.P.E….Pope?!” she exclaimed. “It’s a real honour and I don’t know if anyone’s done the whole Vatican venue thing before, it’s a bit interesting that the Vatican’s someone’s venue but it’s going to be fantastic.”

“It’s massive, I’m really looking forward to it,” she smiled.
