Selena Gomez will be returning to the stage for the first time in over a year this weekend at the American Music Awards, and she let fans know she’s been busy rehearsing for her big moment.
In an Instagram post last night (Nov. 15), the 25-year-old singer shared a video of her singing in preparation for her performance of “Wolves” at the ceremony Sunday.
The performance will mark the first time she performs publicly in over a year, following her emergency kidney transplant (and ensuing recovery period) earlier this year.
During the 2014 AMAs, the star debuted her single “The Heart Wants What It Wants,” breaking down in tears while belting the song’s lyrics — which were inspired by her relationship with on-off again boyfriend Justin Bieber, whom she recently has become romantically linked with again.
The 2017 American Music Awards air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
