Some people work hard but never get big while others cheat by taking illicit substances because they are so obsessed with having big muscles. And there are a few freaks of nature who were just born with good, or odd genes.

1. Gregg Valentino

Gregg Valentino is one of the most famous bodybuilders in the world. He achieved notoriety when the size of his biceps grew to 28 inches, earning him a Guinness World Record at the time. He admitted that he was taking steroids. After years of steroid injections, his biceps exploded.


2. Moustafa Ismail

Moustafa Ismail holds the record for the largest biceps in the world at 31 inches. The Egyptian bodybuilder claims to be able to lift 600 pounds. He works out three hours every day to maintain his physique.


3. Markus Rühl

Markus Rühl is a former IFBB professional bodybuilder. He started training at the age of 18 following a doctor’s recommendation after sustaining a knee injury while playing soccer. He is known as the man with the biggest shoulders in bodybuilding history.


4. Ronnie Coleman

Ronnie Coleman is a retired American professional bodybuilder who holds the record for the most wins as an IFBB professional. He won 26 contests, including 8 Mr. Olympia crowns.


5. Romario dos Santos Alves

This 25-year-old Brazilian injected Synthol into his biceps. Synthol is a mix of oil and alcohol. At one moment, his biceps grew to 25 inches. Later, the substance caused him constant health problems and at one point, doctors even considered amputating both of his arms.


6. Arlindo de Souza

This bodybuilder also risked his life to have the biggest biceps in Brazil. At some point, his biceps measured 29 inches. The 44-year-old man from Olind, Brazil also admitted to taking Synthol, which caused him health issues as well.


7. Jeff Dabe

Jeff is not a professional bodybuilder. He was just born with oversized limbs, and according to scientists, he doesn’t suffer from any disorder. His forearm measures 19 inches, which has earned him the nickname of Popeye. He’s been competing in arm wrestling tournaments since the eighties, and we are convinced that he has a significant advantage.


8. Romeo Dev

Aditya ‘Romeo’ Dev  was an Indian bodybuilder who was famous because of his small size. He was 2’9 tall and weighed 9 kg. Romeo could shoulder press custom made 2 kg dumbbells. He was recognized as “world’s smallest bodybuilder”.


9. Bubba “the Babyman” Shelton

“Babyman” is probably the strongest 9-year-old you will ever see. He started working out when he was just 18 months old. He once did 500 push-ups when he was 5. Today, he is training to become a boxer.
