There might be a connection between personality and skin type.
According to a survey, the way our personality affects our health, influences our skin or our perception about it.
Nivea – A skincare company interviewed more than 8000 men and women from Brazil, Belgium France, Germany, Russia, China, the USA, and the Netherlands on their personality traits and their perception of their skin types. This was done to see if there were any major correlations.
Five skin personalities that were common to both genders and all ages groups and cultural backgrounds.
This is the most active and the most common personalities. Doers are performance-oriented and genuinely care about the impression they make. They value skin contact and as well associate beautiful skin with success.
Skin type: Oily or shiny.
The thinkers are quick-witted but are also prone to be introverted and pragmatic. They take a no-nonsense approach to their skincare. They prefer practical products to complicated beauty routines.
Skin type: Normal.
This is the intuitive and ambivalent personality. They strive for recognition but are more at odds with their skin.
Skin type: Prone to blackheads and impurities.
They are emotionally-driven and are happy to take on responsibility. They see their skin as part of how they communicate with people.
Skin type: Sensitive.
They have high social and ethical standards but are introverted, so observe rather than take action.
Skin type: Matt and prone to uneven tone.
