Woman Wears Her Old Bridesmaid Dress Everywhere To Prove A Point

It was twenty-two years ago when Tammi Sauer, who is a children’s book author, got married to her husband Ron.

She decided to rock a lot of burgundy and so did her seven bridesmaids.

The dresses were in the then typical 90’s fashion and were cut from ‘miles’ of burgundy brocade fabric. The gowns were made from a Jessica McClintock pattern and were all hand sewn by mothers, grandmothers, and local seamstresses.

About a month ago, in June, Tammi decided to post some throwback pictures. It featured images from the 1995 wedding and even included an apology for making her bridesmaids wear those gowns.

She captioned her throwback pictures with: ‘these two 22-year-olds are celebrating 22 years of marriage! Hubba-hubba. (My apologies for those dresses ladies.)’

However, one particular bridesmaid wouldn’t accept the apology and instead responded back with a rather pleasant photo shoot. Heidi Mann posted in a Facebook reply that a ‘frill-tastic 90’s gown’ is almost always in style.

She then went on to perform a little photo shoot where she was wearing her gown while doing a variety of chores. She posted in the Facebook thread: ‘what do you mean sorry about the dresses? I wear mine all the time.’

In the mini photo shoot, Heidi can be seen doing the laundry, performing some handiwork around the house and also lounging about in the elegant dress.

In an interview, Heidi said: ‘I did the same thing to my bridesmaids. I was certain I was getting them dresses that they would be able to wear again ― I wasn’t.’

She continued on by saying: ‘but the thought of someone determined to get good use out of their bridesmaid’s dresses by wearing them for everyday activities made me laugh and I knew it would make Tammi laugh, too.’
