We don’t intend to alert anyone yet CADBURY HAS STOPPED MAKING CHOCOLATE!
Truly, it’s a great opportunity to disregard that short-lived bread and milk shortage, because a water supply issue in the Midlands has forced Cadbury to close one of its factories.
Temporarily. (We hope.)
A spokesperson for Cadbury’s owner Mondelez confirmed to the BBC that there was no water supply for their manufacturing site in Bournville, Birmingham, but reassured chocolate-lovers the world over that their current supply of the good stuff is “not immediately impacted.”
They added that any disruption to the factory, which is caused by burst water pipes following the recent thaw in the region, would be “short”.
Promising “sufficient stock”, they said that “the rest of our supply chain, including logistics, is operating as business as usual”, so there’s no need to panic-buy Dairy Milk just yet.
Unless it’s a personal emergency, of course.
When things are back up and running at Cadbury, we expect they’ll be busy making some of their delicious new products that were launched just in time for Easter.
Last week, the chocolate giant announced the introduction of the ‘Dairy Milk Ultimate Easter Egg’ range, which combines your regular egg with either Fruit & Nut or Daim.
And that’s not all – there’s also the amazing-sounding Easter Egg Hunt Super Pack, which contains Dairy Milk eggs, Mini Eggs and Dairy Milk bunnies for you to hide outside.
Or, y’know, for you to just scoff the lot in bed.
