Camila Cabello has discussed how she’s “obsessed” with The 1975 and really wants to work with the group.
Former Fifth Harmony star Cabello is breaking records with her debut solo album. Following her record’s release, the singer stopped by the Beats 1 studio to talk with Zane Lowe.
“Oh my god, I want to work with them so bad,” Cabello exclaimed during the interview. “I’m on a 1975 rollercoaster right now. I can’t stop listening to them.”
“I think I’ve met him before because I’ve been to two 1975 concerts because I was obsessed with them,” Cabello added.
“Text him. Let’s make this happen,” she then instructed host Lowe.

Cabello recently talked about why she left Fifth Harmony, explaining that her 2015 solo collaboration with Shawn Mendes, ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’, caused tension among the group.
She also stated that when she asked to help write lyrics for Fifth Harmony songs, she was rebuffed.
Cabello “initially wanted to stay in the group while working on a solo album,” the report suggests, “but the other members shut her out instead”.
“I was just curious and I wanted to learn and I saw all these people around me making music, writing songs and being so free,” Cabello said. “I just wanted to do that and it did not work.”
Meanwhile, The 1975 appear to be teasing their new album.
The band released second record ‘I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It’ in 2016. It was named as NME‘s best record of that year.
