Disgraced Glee actor Mark Salling has been found dead after pleading guilty to possessing images of child pornography
Glee star Mark Salling, 35, who recently pleaded guilty to child pornography charges, has been found dead.
According to US publication TMZ, the cause of his death was suicide.
They reported that the body of the actor, who starred as Noah “Puck” Puckerman in Glee, was found today near a league field near his home in Sunland in LA.
Mark had been awaiting sentencing after he pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.
The LAPD were alerted to the discovery of his body at 8.50am this morning, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement to The Blast, a family member said: “I can confirm that Mark Salling passed away early this morning.
“Mark was a gentle and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing his best to atone for some serious mistakes and errors of judgment. He is survived by his mother and father, and his brother.
“The Salling family appreciates the support they have been receiving and asks for their privacy to be respected.”
This comes nearly five years after his Glee co-star Cory Monteith’s accidental death after consuming a deadly concoction of heroin and alcohol.
