The 25-year-old is pregnant with her first child, with her pregnancy coinciding with the release of her debut album Invasion Of Privacy and a performance at Coachella.
After weeks of rumours, Cardi B has confirmed that she is expecting her first baby with Migos rapper Offset.
And the rapper has admitted that she ‘kinda’ considered an abortion – before realizing that she wanted a child straight away. When asked on The Breakfast Club about whether she considered any alternatives, Cardi said: ‘Kinda, sorta. But then I didn’t want to deal with the whole abortion thing. I just didn’t want to. ‘You know what, I’m a grown woman. I’m 25 years old. I’m gonna say this in the humblest way… I’m a schmillionaire. I’m prepared for this.’
The Bodak Yellow rapper, real name Belcalis Almanzar, also told the radio show that the pregnancy most definitely was not planned.
She laughed: ‘No, it wasn’t planned. It was just one night… it was a good night. That one night, it had to be that night.’ Cardi is pretty much the hottest name in rap right now, and the news of her pregnancy has had many people butting in with questions about whether her blossoming career will hit the skids now she’s withchild.
However, Cardi notes that her fiance Offset – who already has three kids from previous relationships – doesn’t face the same scrutiny, despite being on the charts with his group Migos.
