Mariah Carey Launches Own Label “Butterfly MC Records”

Mariah ‘Mimi’ Carey, the renowned American singer and songwriter has launched her own record label ”Butterfly MC Records”.

She has also announced a release of her 14th studio album in 2017.

Butterfly MC Records will be a joint venture partnership with LA Reid’s Epic Records.

LA Reid, The Chairman and CEO Epic Records says:

Mariah’s incomparable talents as a singer, with her vocal range that is nothing short of legendary, are matched by her brilliance as a songwriter, producer, and performer par excellence. I look forward to building upon all of Mariah’s success for years to come.”

Mariah in commentary about the partnership says:

“I am putting my heart and soul into making more new music. I am so thrilled for this next chapter and to continue working with, and for, everyone that I love.”

Mariah Carey, the female artist with the most number one hits — including “One Sweet Day,” the longest-running chart-topper of all time, and “We Belong Together,” which is tied for the second longest run — is set to tour arenas with Lionel Richie this summer, including a stop at Madison Square Garden on Aug. 19. 2017. The tour, which was originally slated for this spring, was postponed so that Richie could recover from knee surgery. Carey, who was raised in Greenlawn said.

Mariah rose to fame with the release of single ‘Vision of Love’ off  her self-titled debut album “Mariah Carey” released June 12, 1990.

Mariah has since gone to release 13 studio albums, one soundtrack album, one live album, three compilation albums, three greatest hits albums, one extended play and one remix album. Carey is one of the best-selling music artists of all-time, having sold over 200 million records globally, with her debut album “Mariah Carey”(1990),Daydream”(1995) and “Emancipation of Mimi” (2005) dubbed her best selling albums.
