Mark Wahlberg’s $1.5 Million Time’s Up Donation Has Been Retrieved

Check Wahlberg was entangled in discussion before the end of last year when it was found that he was paid $1.5 million to reshoot All the Money in the World, while his co-star Michelle Williams was paid just $1,000.

The 46-year-old actor responded to the wage disparity by saying he was going to donate his pay to Time’s Up in Michelle‘s name.

One of the women heavily involved in Time’s Up, lawyer Nina Shaw, confirmed that Mark‘s check came in.

“Did the check from Mark Wahlberg clear yet?” Hearst Magazines Chief Content Officer Joanna Coles asked Nina during a SWSX panel over the weekend, to which Nina responded, “Yes, Mark has written that check.”

“Men often get paid more, not because they’re better actors, but they’re in stories where they drive the narrative,” Nina added. “The reason they drive the narrative is they’re in stories that are picked by men.”
