Brett said: ‘She was so pleased to have another little boy. It was such a happy moment – but that changed in just seconds. “I still can’t believe what has happened. Becky was happy, healthy and she loved our kids so much. One minute we were overjoyed to have a new baby and the next minute, she was gone. He said: ‘I could hear the doctors saying they were losing her.
I was terrified. ‘She was deprived of oxygen for an hour before they got her heart started again. That was just too long. They told me that even if she survived, she would be in a vegative state.
‘The Doctor was not sure why this happened but they are now investigating to find out the cause of death. ‘I never thought that I would be burying my wife less than a year after my wedding. I can’t describe how difficult it has been.’
