This weekend has been pretty eventful for Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson. Actually, it all started on Thursday when a promo for Pete’s show, SNL, was posted on Twitter.

According to cosmopolitan, he joked about marrying the show’s musical guest, Maggie Rogers, which Ariana didn’t love. Fair.
Then on Saturday, Ariana released single, ‘thank u, next’, which is all about her exes. Bummer.
Pete decided to be grown up about the whole nasty situation, and opened up a little about their split during Saturday’s episode of SNL.
At the end of one of his sketches, he said: “The last thing I will say is I know some of you are curious about the break-up.
“The truth is it’s nobody’s business, and sometimes things just don’t work out. And that’s okay.”
Then things got really sweet.
“She’s a wonderful, strong person, and I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world.”
This isn’t the first time Pete’s opened up about their split – a couple of weeks ago, he took to the stage at a comedy show in LA, and told the audience: “Well, as you could tell, I don’t want to be here. There’s a lot going on” in reference to his very public split, before poking fun at the fact he’d moved out of Ariana’s apartment. “Does anyone have any open rooms?”, he continued. “Looking for a roommate?”
He also spoke about all the Ariana-based tattoos he’s got.
“Um, I’ve been covering a bunch of tattoos, that’s fun. I’m fucking 0 for 2 in the tattoo [department]. Yeah, I’m afraid to get my mum tattooed on me, that’s how bad it is.
“So, obviously you know [we] broke up or whatever but when me and her first got engaged we got tattoos. And it was in a magazine like, ‘Was Pete Davidson stupid?’ And 93% of it said yes. So my boy, he was like, ‘Don’t listen to that shit man. They’re literally fucking haters.’ And I’m like, yeah, fuck that. I’m not stupid.
“And the other day we were in my kitchen and he was like, ‘Yo bro. Turns out you were stupid.’”
