Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o are set to star in their first ever buddy-buddy movie inspired by a meme that went viral last month.
In April, a photo of the celebrities from back in 2014 at the Miu Miu show during Paris Fashion Week surfaced on Tumblr, inspiring conversations about how they would look good in a heist movie in which Rihanna and Nyong’o scam the rich out of their money:

The conversation died off quickly and people moved on to the next trending topic, but Entertainment Weekly has now confirmed that Netflix jumped on the idea of the film, and successfully fought off other competitors interested in making the film.
Now, a Rihanna-Nyong’o buddy-buddy movie is about to happen and Ava DuVernay has also confirmed the heartwarming news.
