She admits killing her father and bury his body in the garden

A woman agree killing her father 12 years ago and buried his body in her back garden.
Barbara Coombes, 63, killed Kenneth Coombes in January 2006, concealing his body until she handed herself over to the police station on January 7, this year and told officers what she had done.
Mr Coombes, who served with the RAF during the Second World War, would have been in his late 80s at the time. Officers later discovered his body in the back garden of the family home on Matlock Road, Reddish, Stockport.
She admitted killing her father at Manchester Crown Court. She appeared in the dock at Manchester Crown Court and pleaded guilty to manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility.
It was told to the court that she killed him with a shovel and wrapped his body in a carpet, then carried on fraudulently claiming his pension. Michelle Colborne QC, prosecuting, said the defendant suffered from a ‘lifetime of abuse, verbal and physical’. She is due to be sentenced later today.
