A rep for the couple said: ‘There is no statement due or divorce. ‘This is just fake social media news. ‘This is all very bizarre and an embarrassing waste of time. ‘There is no statement due, no divorce, and a lot of Chinese whispers and fake social media news.’
Victoria and David Beckham have addressed rumours they are splitting, calling the speculation ‘fake social media news’.
The bookmakers stopped accepting bets on the pair – who have been married for nearly 19 years – announcing their separation, even offering odds on who David’s next missus could be. However, a rep for David called the move ’embarrassing and laughable’.
Rumours began swirling on social media hinting at a scandal about to erupt, but there was no suggestion on either star’s social media that their marriage was in trouble.
In fact, Victoria’s last Instagram post, shared earlier today, said that she ‘missed’ her husband.
The 44-year-old shared a picture of herself hugging her six-year-old daughter Harper, and captioned it: ‘Morning cuddles x So much love 🙏🏻 We love and miss u @davidbeckham.’
The couple also announced yesterday that they are auctioning off the outfits they wore to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in aid of the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
Posh and Becks – who have a net worth of over £500 million – started dating in 1997, and became engaged the following year. They got married in Ireland on 4 July 1999 in a lavish ceremony which was covered by the world’s media – remember those golden thrones they sat on?
The footballer and fashion designer have gone on to have four children together – Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13, and Harper, six.
