If you mainly use the platform to watch makeup tutorials and cat video compilations, you have probably never heard of Dan. The 26-year-old gamer from Aldershot, started off posting videos of him playing Minecraft and Pokemon. Now, according to Forbes, Dan ranks as the world’s highest-paid YouTuber.
His net worth is estimated by the publication to be 16.5 million dollars – the highest income of any YouTube star since Forbesstarted keeping track in 2015, and he was not featured on last year’s top ten.
It looks like it’s been a great year for the YouTuber, whose latest video is of his live tour. The tour included a show at the Sydney Opera House which became the second fastest-selling show in the venue’s history. That’s the power of social media for you.
